how to access your bank statements

Follow these step-by-step guides for the most common UK banks:

AmEx

You can access your Statements online here or log into your Online Account
Select 'Statements & Activity' from the menu and then 'All PDF Statements' in the dropdown menu.
You can also download the Amex App here to see your recent transactions and statements within the 'Statements' tab.

Barclays

Open the app
Bottom left hand corner, click on statements
Click on desired statements
Top right hand corner, click download (as PDF)

Bank of Scotland

To do this, go to your account menu.
Select 'Download or print statement' to save or print.
For paper copies, select 'Order paper statements.'

OR

On your account page, select 'Statement options'.
Next, select to print, download, or order a paper copy for the last 7 years.
For paper copies, please remember it can take up to 10 working days to arrive.

Co-op Bank

First Direct

Log on to our App and select the relevant account from the balances screen, then:
on an iPhone, tap the three dots in the top right corner and tap 'View Statements'.
on an Android device, tap the + icon in the bottom right corner and tap 'Statements'.
Once your statement is on screen, the download icon will give you the option to send it to an email account or print it (if your device is connected to a compatible printer).

OR

You can log on to Online Banking and select 'statements' in the top right of your transactions page.

HSBC

Once logged in, select which account you would like to view a statement for.
In the menu, select 'View more' then choose 'View statements'.
Click on a relevant month and you will receive a prompt on which app you would like to view your PDF statement in.
You can download your statement PDF by clicking the 3 dots in the top right and selecting 'download'.

OR

Log on to online banking
Using the Quick Links menu select 'Statements'
Alternatively, at the top of the page hover over 'Account Services', under Documents click on 'Statements.'
Once the account is selected that you would like to view a statement for, then choose the statement type.
You can download your statement PDF by clicking on the 3 dots in the top right and selecting 'download'.

Lloyds

Go to your account menu.
Select 'Download or print statement' to save or print.

OR

On your account page, select 'Statement options'.
Next, select to print, download, or order a paper copy for the last 7 years.
(For paper copies, please remember it can take up to 10 working days to arrive)

Metro

Login to Personal and Business internet banking platform
Click on the account(s) you would like to see Statements for
Click ‘Documents’
Click ‘Account Statements’
Select which years statements you want to see
Click ‘View' for the month you would like to see
You can now see and download your statement

Monzo

Tap the Home icon in the menu bar
Tap Manage to the right of your transaction feed
Tap Bank statements
Select the date range you'd like
Select the format you'd like the document in (PDF, CSV, QIF)

Nationwide

Visit your bank’s website
Log in to Online Banking/Digital
Banking/Internet Banking/eBanking etc.
Click ‘statements’, ‘e-documents’, or ‘download’
Make sure you’ve selected the correct account
Choose a statement (or a date range)
Choose the .pdf file format
Download*
Repeat the steps to download multiple statements

Natwest

Log into your Natwest online banking account via the Desktop website (not the mobile site)
Click ‘Statements’ on the left-hand menu to reveal the statements page
Under ‘Your accounts’ click on the link that says ‘View, save and print PDF statements and certificates of interest (up to 7 years)’

Revolut

Go to Settings (click on your name at the top left of the screen)
Open Statements page
Choose Statement of balances
Select date
Click Get statement.
The document is downloaded in the language your app is currently set to. To change the language, go to Settings page → scroll down to Location → select language.

Santander

Log in to online banking
Click the “Statements & Documents” link from the navigation menu
Identify the statement you wish to view
Under “Action”, select either “View in PDF/ Text Format” or “Download”
Click “Go”; your statement will open in a separate window

Starling

Click on your account icon.
Click on Statements and Documents.
Click on Statement History.
Choose the time period you want.
Decide if you want a PDF or CSV.
Click on Standard or Certified.

Tide

Just tap More
Transactions
Statements, then select the months that you’d like to download a statement for.

TSB

Your statements and correspondence go to your Digital Inbox instead of through your letterbox.
You can check your Digital Inbox in the App or by logging into Internet Banking and clicking on ‘Your Inbox’ on the top right-hand side.
Paperless documents will be in PDF format and they’ll look exactly the same as the paper versions.
We’ll email you whenever we send something new, so it’s important that you keep your contact details up-to-date. You can change them in the Mobile Banking App or Internet Banking.

Virgin Money

Tap the more icon at the bottom right of your summary screen
Select "Statements”
You can then choose the year/month of the statement you want to view
Click on the downward pointing icon on the right
At the top of the page, there is an icon.
Click on this icon and select what you would like to do with your statement
